Becoming a Talk for Learning School

Talk for Learning is a key component in our courses.  I believe that these techniques engage pupils and increase learning and progress.


The courses for teachers are based on Talk for Learning philosophy. They are delivered using Talk for Learning strategies so in themselves model how structured pair and groups activities can help learners to be fully engaged, think more deeply and so learn more effectively. The three days over three weeks allows participants time to try out what they have learned in their classrooms and each day build on the learning of the previous training. Importantly this is then followed by a course leader working with them for a day in their own school. They will then be offered individual coaching by jointly planning lessons for their class, team teaching with them and observing them teaching and helping them to improve.
